Organizing this meeting began a year ago, with the choice to come back to the
Garda Lake area, where had been already hosted several of our wonderful events
in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
In fact it is as if the lake felt the lack of gaiety and very numerous band of
“Corvette People” running around its shores, receiving and giving lustrous to
its natural surroundings and we have been somehow recalled.
Of course, after all those hits, being able not only to maintain the highest
standard, but also trying to improve it, would have been very difficult. It
was a challenge to ourselves, which we would not have given away for any
reason.

Presenting something different, besides something more, was imperative, also
considering the actual economic situation. How to meet all the expectations
involving and satisfying the largest number of participants?
Simple: offering a package inclusive of the best of the various expectations!
Beautiful lake scenery, starting with a pearl as Peschiera Del Garda, hotels
at the top as the unique Parc Hotel, famous and sought restaurants like "I
Pioppi" and "Al Frassino", the desire to unleash the exuberant power of our
cars safely without the risk of speed cameras, on the well known racetrack as
Modena's, exclusively reserved for the event, a visit to one of the most
beautiful botanical garden in the world as the Sigurtà, have been winning
choices for this meeting, certainly the one that has seen the largest number of
participating cars.

136 (hundred thirty-six) cars, two-thirds Corvette and the rest Camaro, crews
coming (as usual) from all over Europe, including England, Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovakia and even from faraway Finland, beside
(of course) Italians, were the seal of this event.
From a 1958 C1 Corvette to a '65 to 67 C2, to the most powerful C6 ZR-1, the
full range of Corvette production was present.
The truth of what we write is under the eyes of everybody, pictures, movies,
comments, from those written on various foreign forums to those left on social
networks, to those given either personally or sent to us directely are the
proof that we are without any doubt the point of reference of Corvette and
Camaro world in Italy.
Although the official start of the meeting was scheduled for Saturday, it
started already on Friday with the arrival and registration of several members,
especially foreigners, who (after spending a relaxing day taking advantage of
the hotel's facilities) joined the dinner we had arranged at the restaurant.

On Saturday morning, this incredible convoy about 2 km long, emerged from the
beautiful Parc Hotel inbound Modena Autodrome. Upon entering the highway we
were baptized by water coming down like hell; alarmed and a little annoyed by
this, we called our friend Alberto at the track which with a quiet “We are in
short sleeves, the sun shines and the track could not be more dry " soothed my
disappointment turning it into joyness.
Arrived at the track the party could start, 4 hours on track exclusively
reserved, gave people a way to vent the passion for speed, sneaking in properly
competitive manner with opponent friends.
I can proudly say that the direction of the circuit has expressed
congratulations for the serious, professional and fair conduct held by all our
members.
After the track, we returned to the Parc Hotel where, on a wonderful rooftop
terrace we were served a coffee break, shared comments and considerations as
well as familiarized with new friends attending our event for the first time.
In the evening, dinner by the lake with priceless scenery, illuminated by the
golden light of a postcard sunset, and prizes for the winners on the track
laps.

Sunday morning, visiting the incredible Sigurtà Park, an oasis for body and
soul rest, was particularly appreciated.
We closed the season with a lunch at the Ristorante Al Frassino, in an
atmosphere of refined elegance for exchanging greetings.

Tania, the creators of the beautiful personalized alarm clocks that we have
honored.
