C6 Umbau

Not much has happened over the summer, hopefully I´ll make some progress during the winter.


Side skirt needs some adjusting to line up with the rear fender.


Not much has happened here, a lot of grinding has been done and still needs to be done.


I had to put some real wheels next to the car, 18s look small...

Vettedoogie: That would be very time-consuming and a bit too far out there for this project I am afraid.

We have moved the car to a better spot, lighting is way better.


Here is a shot at the side skirt, we have cut the rear side fender and will try to align it with the skirt.




The left side skirt was damaged so we had to "mirror" half of the right skirt.


We have also started to work on the front, here it is at the height we would like to use:

what rims will u use for the vette? and the size?

Haven't decided on rims yet, I hope to get a hold of rims with center-bolts but it all depends on the size and offset. I'm concentrating on the bodywork right now though.

The work continues, not much to show though.



I need help with the wheels, I am leaning more and more towards OEM Z07 because of the availabilty and price. Wide rims seem hard to come by. Any suggestions?
